Composer Sam Lipman serves on the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin, Butler School of Music & Arts and Entertainment Technologies where he teaches composition, film scoring, AI in music and sound, digital musicianship, virtual instruments, introduction to game audio, and sound design. He has multiple degrees in composition and has scored various film/media projects including the Emmy Award-winning One Thousand Cuts (PBS, 2022). He was awarded Best Score for Matawan (2019) by the Austin Critics Table. In addition to composing, Sam mentors young composers through a university program, which Fiona Gehrke participated in recently. You can contact Sam through his website at samlipmanmusic.com.
