Louise McMahon is a genre-fluid composer and singer-songwriter, whose work spans folk-rock, chamber, choral, video games, radio broadcasts/podcasts and solo piano. Described as “immersive and rapturous” (RTÉ Lyric FM), she is a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs®). Her project Butterfly Wars was featured at Gamescom and on RTÉ2XM, with works supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, Culture Ireland, and the Embassy of Ireland in Germany. Lou collaborates with artists including Terry Woods (The Pogues) and Alex Iles (Star Wars, Avatar). She also contributes to Culture File on RTÉ Lyric FM, blending music, interviews, and sound design.
