Layla Minoui
Layla Minoui is an Iranian-American composer for film, television, and immersive performance based in Los Angeles. Her work blends cinematic orchestration with world and contemporary influences to tell emotionally driven stories that explore resilience, identity, and the human experience. Her credits include DreamWorks Animation's To: Gerard, Disney Junior's Vampirina, Netflix's Ridley Jones, Bravo's Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, and The Mad Whale, as well as additional music for numerous network television series alongside Emmy-nominated composer Robert Duncan. Her work has been recognized by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, BMI, ASCAP, and the Universal Composers Initiative.
In recent years, Minoui has expanded her creative practice beyond the screen through Journey to Rebirth, a multidisciplinary album and immersive live experience born from her journey through and beyond cancer. Bringing together cinematic music, storytelling, movement, visual art, and reflection, the project explores resilience, transformation, and what it means to reconnect with ourselves and one another. Its closing track, Warrior, rooted in Minoui's Iranian heritage, was named the 2026 InterContinental Music Awards winner for Contemporary Instrumental and a finalist in the World Music category at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards. Alongside her work as a composer, Minoui is pursuing a master's degree in Expressive Arts Coaching and Community Building at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), exploring how the arts can cultivate compassion, resilience, and deeper human connection.
