David Fogel interviews Daniel Tamietti

Daniel Tamietti (cello, Brazil) is a cellist, improviser, composer, arranger, and music producer. He holds a Master’s degree in Music from UFMG and works across experimental art, traditional concert repertoire, and popular music. He has participated in a wide range of projects involving dance, video, and improvised music. He has performed with several Brazilian orchestras, including the Orquestra Ouro Preto, and has shared the stage with renowned national and international artists such as Letieres Leite, Fernanda Takai, Jane Duboc, Dea Trancoso, Tim Rescala, Stephan Froleyks, Kystoffer Dreps, and Marco Scarassatti, among others. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Music Performance at UFMG, works as a music teacher, and coordinates Gunga Estúdio.
