Bryson Finney, educator, songwriter, and musician happily resides in LaVergne, TN. He received both his BA in K-12 Music Education with clarinet as his primary instrument, and his MAEd in Instructional Design from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. A music educator at heart, he has served as a general music teacher, piano instructor, and choir instructor in the public school setting for nearly a decade both in North Carolina and Tennessee. Bryson has continued supporting diverse educational efforts as an instructional coach, serving Nashville-area schools district-wide. The role involves researching, training, and modeling best practices for effective technology integration across all content areas. In addition to his work in public education, Bryson has worked with the Nashville Symphony as the Accelerando Coordinator supporting the development of students from diverse ethnic backgrounds for careers in music. He has worked with the WPLN-Nashville Public Radio on their Fisk Jubilee Singers Radio Special, the CMA Foundation as the Music Technology Content Lead for their Unified Voices for Music Education Initiative. He is also a recipient of a 2021 Regional Emmy as a songwriter for "We Are Nashville" and recognized as a 2022 Yamaha 40 under 40 in Music Education. Bryson is the Co-founder, Coordinator, and Program Director of the "We Are Nashville" annual music festival. The festival is designed to reach students and families from all over Music City, with a mission of building community through the art form of music.
