Tom (cello, United Kingdom) began playing the cello at the age of 7 and during his school years he gained a place in the National Youth String Ensemble of Great Britain and was lucky enough to perform at venues such the The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and St David’s Hall. Alongside his classical studies he enjoyed exploring more contemporary genres with his electric cello ensemble, playing gigs at venues such as the O2 arena in London and the Coal Exchange in Cardiff. He studied with scholarship under Alice Neary at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Following his studies he enjoys a varied freelance career regularly performing with a variety of ensemble and orchestras. He is also a sought after session musician working with clients in over 50 countries worldwide and often features on many major TV channels across the world including the BBC, ESPN and MTV as well as streaming services such as Netflix. More locally he has recorded at Rockfield studios and has an exciting year of engagements planned for 2023.
